To support music students, music programs, and music education in the South Jersey region and beyond.
Our Story
In late 2024, the owners of Pinelands Music Academy were contacted by the South Jersey Music Education Partnership (SJMEP), a 501(c)3 organization focused on providing scholarships to private music students with financial need. Having been responsible for a majority of donations to the SJMEP in recent years as well as working with them to establish scholarships in the past, the owners of Pinelands gladly accepted an offer to take over and expand upon the SJMEP. After some meetings, a reelection of board members, an expanded mission statement, and a name change, the Pinelands Music Foundation was born.
Taking over where the SJMEP left off, the Pinelands Music Foundation is expanding its mission to support music students, programs, and education in our area wherever the need arises. As owners of a music school who had come up through local programs, we know how often music lessons and music programs in schools are the first to be cut whenever there is a budget shortfall. Whether it is parents of private music students encountering a financial hardship such as a layoff or medical emergency, or a school system denying their music department budgets for essential materials, we seek to provide necessary financial support to keep music education alive and well for all students interested in learning.
